LMDF show update

I just arrived home yesterday evening from four days of showing dogs at the Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers show at the Tradex in Abbotsford BC. This is the biggest show in Canada and always brings in a large entry and many of the top dogs in the country. As a plus, it's also filmed for TV so be sure to keep your eye out for it on TSN.
I'm very happy to report that it was a successful weekend and I had so much fun catching up with friends. It was a tiring weekend (long days and minimal sleep at night), but I really did enjoy myself.

First the show results:
Ch Braebrook's Remy Martin "Remy" was there as a special (a dog being shown who already has his championship) and took three best of breed wins as well as a fourth in a very strong working group. Remy is owned by Joyce and Lindsey who spoil him to no end, I should be so lucky!

We also have a new champion! Ch Braebrook's Mission Impossible "Tommy" was best of winners all but the first day when his puppy shenanigans got the better of him and he just couldn't stand still. Tommy is only ten months old and this was his second weekend in the ring. I expect great things from this boy as he matures. He is sired by Remy (mentioned above - and making him Remy's first champion offspring) and out of Am/Can Ch United's First Edition "Safi". Tommy is owned by Larry, Sarah and Zack and they have done a great job raising him to be a strong and confident puppy.

Here is a cute shot that I posted to Instagram (search braebrook if you would like to follow me), who could resist that handsome face!?

And a shot of him in the ring as the judge comes in for the exam.

I was also able to see a lovely boy who is sired by our Ch Braebrook's Hennessy "Bravo". Boland's Coup de Foudre Holmrun "Coup" is out of Am/Can Ch Holmrun's Bo Coup and turned a year just a few days before this picture was taken. Coup needs just four more points to finish his championship.

And there is also some non Doberman news to report. This lovely little girl is Libby. She is a German Shorthaired Pointer bred by my friend Nancibeth Koutstaal in Ontario. She recently joined the Braebrook crew and has been fitting in very well. I always knew I would have a shorthair again (it was the breed I started with when I first started showing/breeding dogs) and the timing was right when Nancibeth offered her to me. Her reg'd name is LegacyK LibertyReigns Braebrook. I'm looking forward to getting back to showing in the sporting group again.

Available for sale

Braebrook's Walk the Line "Johnny" is a 14 and a half month old male. He is sired by BISS Ch Holmrun's Play for Keeps "Mick" and out of Ch Braebrooks Coco Chanel Holmrun "Coco". He was shown two weekends as a puppy and collected seven points towards his championship as well as two best puppy in group wins. He is vWD clear and Dr Meurs cardio DNA test negative by parentage. He has a sweet and easy to live with personality and is good with cats and other dogs.
We would like Johnny to go to a home where he will be shown to obtain the last three points towards his championship, but most important is that he be a much loved companion.

A great debut for Braebrook's Mission Impossible

Braebrook's Mission Impossible "Tommy" made his show ring debut at the Alberni Valley Kennel club this weekend and what a debut it was! He picked up a third in the adult group and best puppy in group under judge Mark Houston-McMillan and went on to best puppy in show under judge Sharon Derrick:

We were only able to show two days but he managed to pick up four points towards his championship and we are already looking forward to his next weekend.
Tommy is owned and loved by Larry, Sarah and Zack and is from the litter sired by Ch Braebrook's Remy Martin and out of Am/Can Ch United's First Edition.

Some picture updates

I have to start this post off by saying how very much I love getting pictures of the "kids" from all their wonderful owners. You folks who are providing such loving homes for my babies are the reason I love what I do. Every email telling me how much you love the Doberman breed and your Braebrook Doberman in particular makes my day. Please keep them coming and please send lots of pictures, you can never send too many! :)

The lovely Braebrook's Mission Impossible "Tommy" from the Remy x Safi litter is now nine and a half months and will be making his show ring debut in a couple of weeks. He is staying with us for a few days while his owners are out of town so it was the perfect time for a quick photo shoot. Isn't he growing up handsome?

And then I have to share a few pictures of some lucky Braebrook kids with their new purchases:

This is Ch Braebrooks Coco Chanel Holmrun "Coco" on the left from the Dirk x London litter and her son Braebrook's Going to Jackson "Soter" from the Mick litter sporting their snazzy new rain coats. They look so smart and well prepared for any inclement weather.

This is Braebrook's The Man in Black "Owen" from the Mick x Coco litter trying out his new bed. It looks so comfy I want to snuggle up in there with him! Owen is working hard at becoming a tracking dog and in the meantime he is the apple of owner Laura's eye. ;)

And this is multi BPIG winner Braebrook's Walk the Line "Johnny" from the Mick x Coco litter, also enjoying a new bed. Johnny needs just three more points to complete his championship.

I also received news from Nancy who owns Braebrook's Courvoisier "Cooper" from the Freddy x Coco litter and he has picked up another point towards his championship and is also becoming quite the tracking star. She is hoping to have him ready to trial in November. I'm so proud!

And last but not least I have to include this video of Ch Braebrook's Black Russian "Rush" from the Rogan x Safi litter "singing", it's too cute!

Please feel free to send any pictures of your Braebrook Doberman as I would love to include them here, and I love getting all the wonderful updates.
